LERMA

Ancient fief of the Spinola family, Lerma is today a pretty village that preserves the Castle, built in its current forms in the Renaissance period, and its beautiful medieval shelter, still characterized by steep streets built in stone.

The cemetery houses a Romanesque parish church inside which there are some frescoes depicting the Stories of the Passion and some figures of Saints, dating from the late fifteenth and early sixteenth centuries.

TAGLIOLO

Ancient village of Longobard foundation, Tagliolo still retains all its charm and is today known for its splendid medieval castle, among the best preserved of the High Monferrato, inside which you can visit the cellars that for over 500 years have produced a fine wine.

GAVI LIGURE

Located on the ancient Via Postumia, Gavi is today a characteristic village, with a splendid Romanesque cathedral and an imposing fort perched on the top of the hill, dating back to the 10th century and then modified several times. Now become a museum and therefore completely open to visitors, the Forte di Gavi is certainly one of the best known attractions in the Alto Monferrato. The area is also known for the homonymous Cortese wine and there are many wineries that allow a tasting.

ACQUI TERME

Unique town of its kind, Acqui still maintains its historical physiognomy strongly linked to the presence of water. The monumental Roman aqueduct acts as a backdrop to a city of fountains and springs, among which the most famous is "la bollente", a source of sulphurous water which causes over 500 liters of water to flow per minute at a temperature of around 75 °.

Famous for its numerous spas, Acqui is the ideal place to spend a relaxing and healing day, including baths, massages and beneficial vapors.

RIVIERA LIGURE

From the Agriturismo il Burlino you can easily reach the Ligurian Riviera, with its blue sea and its characteristic villages, ideal for cooling off with a dip in the sea, but also for visiting some of the pearls of the coast, such as the Cinque Terre, Portofino, Camogli or the scenic Abbey of San Fruttuoso.

GENOVA

Ancient Maritime Republic, Genoa retains all the charm of past centuries. The Cathedral of San Lorenzo and the splendid noble palaces of the historic center are certainly worth a visit. A stage of great interest is the famous Genoa Aquarium, the largest in Europe, which will not fail to amaze the little ones ... but will leave even the biggest ones speechless.

A little over an hour away, Milan is worth a visit: the Duomo, famous all over the world for its thousands of statues and spires, the Sforzesco Castle, the Teatro alla Scala and the Last Supper painted by Leonardo da Vinci are just some of the great attractions of the Lombard metropolis, which after the 2015 Expo surpassed Rome by number of visitors from all over the world.
